19.12.07 -- College Application
Up, down, all around, a sort of rollercoaster in short; and that’s more or less how my daily life can be described as over the past couple of days. But before I go into that further, a moment to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to those thoughtful enough to wish me a ‘Happy B-day’, so a BIG ‘Thank you’ to you all ^_^ Now back to the supposed rollercoaster…
Fellow High School graduates, I don’t know about the lot of you but from personal experience (note, over the past few days), I believe I can frankly say that deciding which college to apply to come January is one heck of a headache – seriously. I mean, we’re talking about hopping over from one college Open Day to another, listening to countless (some more boring than others) talks and speeches on choosing the right course, exploring each campus, attending numerous counseling sessions and the like. And boy, after listening to so many different opinions I could have sworn at one point I was even closer to being confused-out-of-my-mind than I was sure of what I really wanted.
*The college hunt ensues*
Eventually, the arduous task of narrowing down the options neared its finale with my parents and yours truly settling for either Taylors or Sunway. The question was, how to break the tie? Well…
Useless cat… >_<
Alas, that process remained fruitless and so, it was another trip to Taylors (seeing as I was rushed in exploring its campus on the Open Day itself) before I made my decision. Good thing to as my mom and I ran into one of her former colleagues who gave me a very detailed insight on the ‘big picture’ of things. So thanks to her help, a more thorough tour of the campus by a friendly Taylorian, and no help from Princess whatsoever, a decision was reached, and here it is…
I’M GOING TO TAYLORS!!!
Heh, glad that rollercoaster has come to a stop…for now. So that’s it friends. While it did take a while I do think Taylors will, in the long run, benefit me the best. I like the campus a little better than I do Sunway’s and their statistics are WAY better. I’ll be applying soon when I get the opportunity for the ICPU (International Canadian Pre-U) Program and look for a career in the communications arena if things go as planned; which might or might not be. Don’t think I can do it? Lol, we shall see, shan’t we? ^_^
The rest is still unwritten...
