6.2.08 -- Missed A Lot Of Things
Oh heck am I ever freaking out. Before I forget - due to more major freaking-out - HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to you all! Now the reason I'm in this actual state? Well, I've been trying to do my Economics Education Fair project thingy since the hols started. Sure, I did take one day off for shopping purposes (you're dumb if you think I'd miss out on the CNY sales). Either way, bought what I needed and
yada yada yada, back to work - as is the life of a ever-on-the-move college student; figures. So yeah, back to the Edu Fair thingy...
Mr. M, my Economic's teacher from college seperated the class into groups to do this sort of presentation thingy on a famous Economic Thinker. It was one specific Economic Thinker per group. My group? The oh so well renowed, Karl Marx, father of Communism. Yes, you heard me, Communism. So yeah, had to research his ideas, theories and contributions to the Economic systems and whatever crap (in a sulky mood people) the guy had to do with in the past of Economics. Now the research part wasn't exactly the hard part at all. Being such a famous economic contributor, there was info on the guy practically everywhere I bothered looking up. It was settling a time and date to meet up with the rest of my group members that was the problem. *Sighs*
As always, I am the only Malay in my group, meaning everyone else is going back to their respective hometowns for the hols. It took 2 days of discussion to solve that little problem (though I wouldn't quite consider it solved) as we're probably going to meet up with some last-minute results. I really don't feel much like elaborating there. Just...hopefully we get it done without me (or anyone else) having to make any major sacrifices to other obligations.
Also, I've just realized I still had my English response journal entry to do. The sad part is that I was supposed to write the entry based on my opinion on one of the articles listed in my class article board. Too bad silly-forgetful me completely left out viewing the board before the hols got under way...which basically means...I'm in hot (boiling) water. Ugh, Ms. Vivien, I'M SO SORRY!!! Adding on to that burden, I've still got that Independent Research Project Phase 2 to do for Mr. Ken, my Sociology teacher - thanks a million Mr. Murthi for not giving any Math homework this hol.
On a positive note however, my parents got me a new PC and printer to accomodate my hectic printings and requirement for a fast-working internet connection. Things are quite fine and dandy for now but as always, who knows where things will lead. Seeing the rate of which I have to work at this year, I guess this really does mean the end of my Playstation days - how I miss that bliss-bringing box...KINGDOM HEARTS!! Might have to put my fanfictions on hold again after a whole year of doing so too - what a bummer. Then there are my role-plays, *sighs*, hopefully I don't have to give this up entirely but merely reduce it to once or twice on the weekends...it really helped with my English and writing skills; and I met so many amazing individuals. I'd suggest giving it a try to anyone who wants to improve so. As for this blog, who knows if it'll still be alive. No doubt updates will be slow and (probably, since this is me we're talking about) boring.
Well, I'm off to bed. Catch me on one of my less stressed-up days. Toodles.
PS: I know half the pictures from my LA adventure aren't showing but heck I haven't the time to spend addressing that problem. Maybe, one day, when time is my own again.
The rest is still unwritten...
