Alas, Malaysia's efforts are yet enough to achieve one of those freakingly glory-providing gold medals. And to think we were so close since this guy (indicates persona in the picture above) came around. Malaysia's very own Lee Chong Wei, badminton representative in the recent (technically still running) 2008 Beijing Olympics.
It's my belief he really wanted that gold. Having came and went so far in the previous Olympics and doing Malaysians everywhere proud.
Honestly, the fact that he placed second (silver) once again this time doesn't bother me much at all. Why should it? I REALLY don't like it when people start duping him for his effort.
Think people!
He's tried SO (and I cannot emphasize the 'so' enough) hard to make it as far as he did. He litterally gave us Malaysians hope - gave us that belief that maybe, just maybe, we COULD do it. Now before anyone starts screaming "he failed!", put yourself in the guys shoes and PLEASE THINK!!
Come on, could any other among us have done any better? He did THAT much, he made it THAT far, be grateful.
Be SATISFIED - we'll make it someday.
