11.9.08 -- A Day We'll Never Forget
Ladies and gents, if anyone hasn't already taken notice, today is none other than September 11 (a.k.a. 9/11), the anniversary of that dreaded plane-hijack, World Trade Center incident, so worldly infamous for the catastrophic scale of loss resulting in the States after the happenings of that day itself.
When it first took place back in the year, what, 2001? I can't say I much at all took notice. I was too young then maybe, too ignorant. But I definitely can't retain that sense of ignorance now, especially not when the World Day of Peace is just around the bend.
And while I do not exactly take to Mr. Boodram, my Business Leadership lecturer, I feel his pain, having lost a daughter to that incident.
It might not have had any dire effect on me literally, myself not having known anyone on a personal level in the States at the time, or probably even now, but the damage was done and the news spread like wildfire across the lands and seas, reaching anyone and everyone with some form of link with the media.
Till today, I still find it deviously hard to comprehend the whole situation - how those four planes had been successfully hijacked, and above all, how anyone could have ever dreamt of committing such a terrible act?
There really are some dastardly SICK individuals roaming our world!
Not to mention the whole war issue that ensued.
I'm wearing black today, people might guess why. This post won't be reaching many I bet but whatever. Stupid as it may sound to some, I DO want World Peace! So there! Stop the nonsense already.
It's enough.
The rest is still unwritten...
