2.10.08 -- The Last Raya?

As usual each year this celebration takes place, first stop early in the morn is none other than Masjid Al-Falak, obviously to catch the Raya morning prayer. Once that was over, it was definitely, without a doubt, celebration time!

Therefore, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!! (Don't kill me if I got the spelling wrong, it ain't easy converting a language).

Dear kiddies, here's the first thing you do when you 'ber-raya':

Step 1: 'Salam' your parents.

Step 2: Ask for forgiveness

Step 3: Eh...wait a minute, this isn't what you're supposed to do!

Heh, either way, Cessy's such a cutie~

So once lunch time rolled over, the next thing on my Raya list was to visit one my relative's humble abode, Uncle Chong and Aunty Aini, who just so happen to live next door. Picture that? You can imagine how short a journey that was. Normally, people 'balik kampung'. Myself? Well, I don't really have a kampung anymore now do I?

Once there, the usual salam greeting was passed about and the younglings like myself had to ask for forgiveness; in other words, 'minta maaf zahir dan batin'. With that task out of our way, it was time for some Raya camwhoring!

And here's the closest I got to a full family picture this year. Too bad mom's not in.

Aww, look who's locked up on such a fun-filled day! Poor little (big) Mimi! Then again, who was that gave me cause to wash the cars that day? *glares*

Seeing as the dining table was already occupied by others by the time my family members and I arrived, we were instead placed to dine at the magnificent Outdoor Terrace of my uncle's house (a.k.a. the backyard).

Now before you think I'm complaining here, don't. Cause it was a lot nicer to have the privacy and fresh air, shaded by the trees. The food was good as always. And thankfully, not exceptionally spicy this time round.

It is customary in Malay culture to eat your food with your right hand, observe my brother, Raz. And yeah, you try taking a picture with your left when you're right-handed.

Take a look at that spread - the legendary Lemang from Shah Alam, Beef Rendang, Rendang Tuk, Ulam and Kurma Ayam!! XD

My dad eating his favorite Penang Laksa!!! Which is way too spicy for me to enjoy, though I will not deny it's yummy-ness.

Back inside, the dining table was taken over by some of my other relatives.

Here's Muffin and her family, enjoying the same Raya delicacies.

Muffin, MinMin, Raz (somewhat hidden) and Uncle Chong~

Later on back in front, a variety of things were going on, though pretty much all of them revolved around the goofings of my freakish little nephew (yes, I have a nephew!), Adam. He's three this year, if anyone cares - I sure don't. My cousins and I nicknamed him 'PsychoBaby'!

Believe me, he is!

A candid shot of Yaya, Muffin and MinMin trying out some Raya cookies.

Looks like they noticed the camera this time~

Introducing PSYCHOBABY!!!! XD (I know he was dancing at the time this pic was taken; MJ maybe?)

Tired of PsychoBaby's berserk-ish antics, my bro, cousins and I decided to take a spin with my new Persona. Man was that fun~ ^_^

Since I can't exactly take pics of myself while driving, I took one of my bro in the driver's seat instead.

Yaya and Muffin in the back seat, note the 'P' sign above, lol.

And there's Muffin and myself.

Ah, and here was when abang WanWan took Raz to try driving manual for his first time. Not easy now is it, huh bro?

Soon we returned home after some jerky driving in Uncle Choong's Satria and gathered in my home living room for the random chit-chat.

My relatives!!! XD

*Ahem* After more stuffing our faces with cookies and Dodol...

Wala! More pictures!!!

I was really hoping for a reunion of 'The 5 Cousins' but Raz retired early from lack of sleep. And so, it became only 4.

By the way, I know the camera cover's in the way but whatever.

It's been a really tiring day. and honestly sometimes I don't know why I bother getting so hyped about it each year. But then it always comes to me in the end...

It's all about the Angpau's, peeps, the Angpau's~

If I don't get to do this next year, well, at least I can say I had a good one this year.

HAPPY RAYA EVERYONE!!! ^_^

The rest is still unwritten...
