2.2.09 -- Surfacing Several Minutes Of Random Thoughts
Random Thought #1:Haha, alas I am bored. It's been nearly two weeks since I've last posted an RP post on
Anirealm and I guess it's having a fun time eating away at me. I've contemplated busying myself with roleplays on a different RP forum temporarily but it's not exactly the easiest thing in the world to find one that catches my eye. Even if I were so lucky as to do so anyway, the question of activity then rears its ugly head. Figures. Hopefully someone picks up the pace again soon. I know
Noxy's busy and all so I really wish the site had more people to accommodate that - we need more darn RP-ers. Seriously, before I lose my calm.
Random Thought #2:
One of the greatest non-academic achievements I feel I've obtained during the pass year of college is the completion of learning to solve the old-school Rubik Cube, (note) entirely by my self. The cube I own is pretty dysfunctional though, if Ii do say so my self. As such, I guess there isn't much I can do to improve my time past four and a half minutes. Nevertheless, it somehow feels really fulfilling to be able to solve it on my own and I have several people to thank for teaching me some of the solving techniques. So to those people - you know who you are - "Thanks!"
Random Thought #3:People are starting to move on and go their separate ways. Of course I was anticipating this, it is after all the natural order of things. Already have I lost two friends to their impending futures, designed to unfold itself in foreign land. In due time, so will mine. It is a bittersweet feeling. I feel very surprisingly close to the friends I've made in my short college year; very brief, but to me people were nicer in college and more open and friendly. My high school friends? Well, very few have kept in touch.
Random Thought #4:
I've finally considered a possible fact that could determine why I'm so fascinated with Cloud Strife of the Final Fantasy 7: Playstation 1 game as well as the series' recurring yellow-feathered friends - come on, you've got to know what I'm talking about here. I don't know why but it just hit me that Cloud's hair is abolutely chocobo-ish (I know, silly how I missed it all this while XP). Perhaps Tetsuya Nomura was so fascinated by chocobos himself that he decided to create at least one lead character with the bird's notorious spiky up-do? Heh, cracks me up.
Random Thought #5:The whole situation with my old cheer squad has been bugging me as of late. Apparently things have gotten rather critical. Perhaps it is no longer in my place to say but I have very little faith in the present board leading the team. I can't say I know some of the new faces well enough but from what I could see during my last visit, things were going an equivalent of nowhere. Something the squad's president said then saddened me. In my opinion, the squad seems to have lost its sense of unity somewhere along the line. I remember when those of my time would always introduce ourselves as a co-ed squad. A time when it was never
'all-girls' or
'all-guys'. It was honestly way more fun that way. I partially blame the annual cheer competitions for that. I hope
VLC's new generation can buck-up somehow, though I think a miracle and no less will be needed for that.
