Hey peeps!! Mua/Moi went to see this *points below* movie at Pyramid today~ ^_^
At first, I didn't really know if I wanted to watch the movie - despite (in my opinion) it being overly-commercialized - as I am not exactly a dog-lover (nor am I a dog-hater, to set the record straight). However, seeing as the trailers did make the movie seem more or less worth the watch, and since I am also a decent fan of both Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, you bet I ended up watching it. And dear folks, now that I have, I've gotta say I'm glad I did.
Everyone, the movie doesn't just have to be for dog-lovers; anyone with a soft spot for pets and animals should give it a go.
I personally think it's a beautiful tale. The screenplay was magnificently woven, the story (based after the book by the same title), touching and heartfelt; in other words, Owen has good chemistry with the dog (or dogs - no doubt they trained more than one for Marley's role)~ XP
Anyway, I enjoyed the many comedy antics throughout the movie, though one might comment on them being too dog-based. Of course, the dog is pretty much the 'shining star' of the film so I didn't have any problems with that.
What I especially liked about the movie was the whole family portrayal - Owen and Jennifer really made it seem real, if you know what I mean. It really is a good family movie. I might just choose to watch it again.
Oh well, one last thing...
I really don't get myself: when a person kicks the bucket I barely feel a thing but when a fluffy, four-legged friend does...I find myself choking back sobs/tears.
I guess animals just have a way of making huge impacts on even the most heartless of humans...
Gosh, I need to hug my cat now. So people of the world, go watch 'Marley & Me'~ ^_^
