Woo!!

Okay peeps, time to switch gears from all that upsetting mumbo-jumbo I had posted previously. Now, after having watched today's episode of American Idol's 8th Season (2009) I honestly couldn't refrain from commenting on it.

I'll admit, I'm not exactly the most devoted Idol fan out there but I do love the show--it's one of the few shows on television I actually make time to watch these days. Of course, since I haven't seen the first two seasons of the show, I can't be a hundred percent positive on what I'm about to say but...well, here goes:

I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER SEEN SIMON COWELL GIVE ANYONE A STANDING OVATION IN A COMMENT DURING THE COMPETITION BEFORE!!!!!

Heck, I might be exaggerating a little but, I am feeling particularly certain (let's say about 90%) that I've never seen him give any contestant on any of the past seasons an actual standing ovation during a comment session. Of course, I have seen him give Kelly and Carrie standing ovations during one or two of their reappearances on Idol after they'd won but not while the competition was still underway for them (*note, I can't truthfully speak for Kelly since I never saw the first season of American Idol).

Either way, now that that's out in the open, gotta say:

I *heart* ADAM LAMBERT!!! XD

Haha, yeah. I still like 'pretty boys'.

During the beginning of Season 8, I kind of figured my interest in him was literally because he was a theater performer (huge theater fan here, though money is always an issue). Eventually, I guess that developed into a like for his looks (somewhat) and dress sense. Of course, one can't deny his unbelievable vocals--the guy is a 'wicked' (pun more or less intended) singer.

I don't know about anyone else out there but, as for me, I seriously think Adam is bank. If he doesn't end up winning Idol this season America has got to be out of their minds blur cause the guy definitely deserves it.

Next to him, Allison is fair but it kinda seems like America doesn't like her much compared to some other people.

My opinion on the other remaining contestants:

• Danny - He's good, but is he good enough? *inserts big question mark* O.O
• Kris - Dude's got a really pure voice and is brilliant with piano ballads, but otherwise, he's in a bit of trouble.
• Lil - She's got a good voice but it pales in comparison to others like Mary J. and Fantasia. Plus, she's actually choosing songs that provide little to no benefit for her otherwise killer vocals.
• Anoop - The guy who is amazing when it comes to ballads but--as Simon puts it--ghastly when it comes to fast numbers. Dude needs some energy tablets or something.
• Scott - I kinda think, this guy has overstayed his time on Idol. I salute him for being as good as he is despite his handicap but other than his impressive performance last week during the Top 9, I really haven't seen many great things from him.
