Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy
Grammy award-winning conductor Arnie Roth reunites with the Singapore Festival Orchestra for another stirring audiovisual extravaganza.
FINAL FANTASY has captured the imagination of gamers the world over in all its guises and manifestations. Experience the thrill of Distant Worlds as the most memorable sequences of the cult video game FINAL FANTASY are projected in high resolution on a giant screen to the highly evocative music scoring by composer Nobuo Uematsu. Regarded as the “John Williams” of gaming music, Uematsu seamlessly marries disparate musical genres with the epic grandeur of Wagner and the rhythmic exuberance of Stravinsky.
Under the music directorship of Chan Tze Law, the Singapore Festival Orchestra has won praise for its versatility. Adding to this powerful mix are the voices of Victoria Chorale and The Vocal Consort led by Chorus Master Nelson Kwei for yet another scintillating multimedia concert experience.
