22.6.09 -- Boom clap, boom de clap de clap

Heh, yeah, I watched the Hannah Montana movie. Why?

I'm not really a Miley fan, that would be true. Nonetheless, the girl has talent and I acknowledge that full on. She sings, acts, writes songs, dances, and heck she has that natural charismatic disposition (you know, that X-factor that makes a person so entertaining to watch). Either that or just say she has what people like Simon Cowell are looking for.

So what about the movie? Hmm...my deduction: nothing much. While a nice plot, it's obviously very old-school and you'd have to be alien to not have seen a similar storyline elsewhere (better elsewhere too--the story flow was a little choppy for me here). Disney sure has a way with these sort of stories, but I guess it's just what they do. The only things I really liked about the movie was probably...the horses? Lol!

Anyway, the music is fun enough. Miley doesn't have the best voice in the world but the songs are fun to sing along and dance to. My favs from the movie were probably 'Hoedown Throwdown (Zig Zag)', 'Butterfly Fly Away' and (of course) 'The Climb', which is all over the radios and stuff lately.

And now with that out of the way, I had this silly little fascination with the song 'Hoedown Throwdown', basically because the lyrics were like one of those songs that tell you what to do when it's on. You know, the whole 'put-your-left-leg-in-put-your-left-leg-out' kind of thing. I found the song pretty entertaining and somehow started thinking...what if someone used it for their cheerleading routine? I mean come on, it'd be real cute!!

"Pop it, lock it, polka dot it
Country-fy then hip-hop it
Put your hawk in the sky, move side to side
Jump to the left, stick it, glide

Zig zag ‘cross the floor
Shuffle in diagonal
When the drum hits hands on your hips
One-footed 180 twist

And then a a zig zag, step, slide
Lean in left, clap three times
Shake it out, head to toe
Throw it all together, that’s how we roll"

Haha, yes, I know you think I'm crazy but really, I think it'd be cute as part of a routine. It'd be quite a bit different too, and heck loads of fun. Ah well, maybe someone already took this idea. If not, there's always next year~ XD

The rest is still unwritten...
