9.11.09 -- Spring is Here!!
Yes, I know I need to blog about the trip home to my place of birth dear Ame but today's first class just totally captured my attention--this is going to be one funky Spring, haha!
Okay, so what's got me so hyped? Obviously I attended my first Monday of Spring Semester Classes; Writing Media Text (WMT) and Editing Media Text (EMT). Seeing as there weren't many people who started mid-sem like I did, one can imagine the pretty small number of people in the lecture theaters and the even more dwindling numbers in the classrooms. SH seems to have gotten herself exempted from the Spring subjects by some miracle (I'm just saying that cause I don't know how/why she got the exemption~ XP), which leaves me to darn freaking fend for myself. Oh well, always a nice time to make new friends since there looks to be lots and lots of group work involved. Plus I know quite a few of my classmates already--just never really had the opportunity to get close with them in the last semester.
Anyways, back onto topic (though I bet I'll get sidetracked again), let's just put it this way...
What would you do if your lecturer literally told you this: "You are encouraged to play."
If you're thinking what I'm thinking...you're either rolling on the floor in uncontrollable laughter or staring at this here screen with some blank-disbelief sort of look on your face. Well, (quotes Naruto from the annoying English dubs) 'Believe it!' cause both the lecturers I met today said the EXACT SAME LINE!!! (not the 'Believe it!' by the way XP)
You know what, I think RMIT might have just been the best thing that may ever happen to me in this silly little life of mine. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to 'play'~ (and there goes the Ouena-ness--only my Anirealm peeps will get this, lol!) XP
So yeah, basic stuff happened: introduction to what would be learnt, focus, objectives, grading criteria, what we need, blah blah. Am so dreading the presentation at the end but meh, people here really are a lot friendlier than I remember back in Malaysia.
The lecturers and staff are graciously helpful too and they really want what's best for you; like...sincerely! Looking at my timetable I was expecting to feel completely drained by the end of the day but heck here I am, still full of energy (meh, not really, but hey I still have the mood to write all this XP). I guess it helps too that the EMT lecturer is another hottie (I so need to stop that, lol!--but he's real funny too!!! Meh XD).
Know what, ignore me. But seriously, this is getting pretty interesting~ ^_^
The rest is still unwritten...
