23.12.09 -- Home Sick?

Bleh, so I told myself I'd leave some massive update on the things I did/encountered during my visit home to Malaysia, some month and a half ago. Honestly, back then it seemed like a good idea because I had lots and lots of fun back home and did a whole bunch of cool things. Now though, I can barely remember half of the things I did in much detail at all. They're mostly hazy recollections...

So much has happened over Spring sem. It's been one heck of a ride/journey and I've learnt and taken notice of so many other things I failed to do so before. Maybe it's true that varsity life is where all the soul-searching stuff happens. It's the turning point where people really figure out who they are or where they belong or something (heh, 'Honey and Clover' influence here). If so, I'm on my way perhaps. Just sadly not there yet -- sucks to me! XD

Anyways, what I do remember is the yummy-ness of Jap food when my parents took me to Zanmai Sushi at Pyramid for dinner. Besides that, I remember surprising the life out of my relatives (gosh some of them had lol-worthy reactions). Some of my uncles had to stare for a while just to make sure it WAS me, haha! Best reaction award goes to my Muffin cousin though -- she did the epic-freak out thing splendidly!! XD

**Sidetracked :: [Oh yeah, to Muffin (who I'm going to assume only stumbles onto this blog of mine say...as often as she comes online -- ain't often, trust me! XP), I appreciate the effort you went through to try planning an outing with me while I was home despite your finals being on. Of course, we couldn't manage it in the end but thanks soooooooooooo much honey!!~ ^^]

Ah, it was great being home, and thus, close to that awesome oven my mom got a while back since our old one kept burning everything. I had fun baking cupcakes for Ame-chan (which she claims were yummy, haha! XP) and that heavenly chocolate-cheesecake (which is just too good!). Made some epic roast chicken with the thing too, which was probably my favorite meal while home (excluding the Jap food from the account).

Anyway, Ame-chan took me mic shopping on one of the days. Truthfully, buying the mic only took like 20 mins tops and the rest of the time we wandered around One Utama doing who knows what (oh right, just to entertain her, "Tekken fi-six" XP). Got to go over to her place too the day after. The initial plan was for her to teach me the dance for Momosu's latest single, 'Kimagure Princess'. Of course, guess we should have known better~ XP

As it turned out, neither one of us could concentrate on the dance because we kept laughing uncontrollably every few seconds into the teaching/learning process -- oh yes, we're crazy together! (fear us people! FEAR US!!! XD). Gosh Ame! Thanks to you that first move of 'Kimagure Princess' will forever be known to me as the "Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" XP

Oh wells, I'm sure I did other entertaining stuff too. I certainly remember watching Micheal Jackson's 'This is it!' and being entranced by how talented the late King of Pop was; not to mention how capable he was for his age. I'm learning though that that's probably what the director of said film wanted to make us all feel when we watched that film. It's one person's vision of MJ and it doesn't mean all of it's true. Still, I don't think there's any way of denying MJ was an amazing artist and performer -- plus he had some great songs.

Come to think of it, that movie was practically the last thing I did while home in Malaysia before catching my flight back to Melbourne. Things proceeded pretty smoothly all throughout the flight. However, getting back to my apartment at Unilodge made me realize for the first time how much I really missed home and the company of those I live with. I'm alright here by myself. I know I am; but it's just kind of hard...being away from home.

Meh, I just wish I could keep a pet cat or something so I wouldn't be talking to Mokona (stuffed plushie) all the time, haha! XD

PS :: I am still in a major AVATAR hype. Therefore, I'll end this post with the film's main theme song. It's called 'I See You' by the great Leona Lewis and pretty much proves that point about the whole opening-our-eyes business. Just listen...

The rest is still unwritten...
